For advocacy the League operates as a 501(c)4 nonprofit organization, to which donations are not tax deductible. Separately, we support educational programs (including voter service and scholarships) through our 501(c)3 Education Foundation, making those donations tax deductible. The Foundation directly supports our voter education programs such as registration drives, candidate forums, ballot measure explanations, and grants to Marin educational organizations that offer financial support and programs for higher education.
